During my sophomore and junior years, I have been a part of the Youth Leadership group under the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
In my sophomore year, we started a student-run business where I served as part of the treausry team. As part of the treasury team, I was tasked with budgeting funds from stock sales to purchase materials and create goods for us to sell. In just a few months we raised a capital of over $5,000.
In my junior year, I volunteered at The Pines At Poughkeepsie Center For Nursing and Rehabilitation. I was tasked with hosting events and games for the residents.
Hand-selected by my local rotary club, I was one of three students chosen to represent my school at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp. At RYLA, I was able to meet other students from around the county and participate in team-building activities.
